From clone to
first proof.

Forge runs local-first. Install the Python package, run the project checks, then execute the bounded submission path when your provider credentials are configured.

Requirements

• Python 3.11+the package and tests are written for the current uv workflow
• uvcreates the environment and installs the locked Python dependencies
• Gitneeded for the repository and changed-file evidence
• Optional provider credentialsonly for the reflection and trace paths that need them

Install

cd forge
uv sync

Verify the checkout

uv run forge status
uv run pytest -q
uv build

The current verified suite reports 61 passing tests. Treat that as a local observation for this checkout, not as a hosted service health signal.

Optional reflection path

Copy the redacted environment template and add credentials only in your local `.env` file. Never commit it or place secrets in command arguments.

Run the static product site

The website is independent from the Python runtime. It is a dependency-light static package; the build includes the published Drawably browser runtime for the local proof surface.
